- Porcelain Bridges
A missing tooth (even a back tooth) makes your smile seem darker and narrower. Plus, if a missing tooth goes untreated, the other teeth in your mouth may shift to compensate for the loss, causing new spaces to open up between teeth. A porcelain bridge corrects the gap left behind by a missing tooth. Bridges use the neighboring teeth as supportive structure. Dr. Blasco custom-forms a prosthetic tooth for the missing space and fuses it between two crowns. Your new tooth will complete your smile and return full functionality to the troubled area of your mouth.
- Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain crowns, also known as caps, slide over teeth to hide misshaping, misalignment, cracks, discoloration, or other imperfections. Crowns decrease physical discomfort in teeth, look completely natural and offer extra support to teeth that are weak or damaged. They can also vastly improve the overall appearance of your smile and make your teeth much more durable. To find out more about porcelain crowns, please contact our office today
- Tooth Colored Fillings
Gone are the days when tooth ailments and cavities could only be treated with unsightly metal fillings that weaken teeth. Today, modern, tooth-colored fillings made of durable resin or porcelain can be bonded to your teeth for a stronger, more natural-looking effect. These revolutionary fillings are virtually undetectable and are easy to apply. Ask Dr. Blasco to explain how tooth-colored fillings can enhance your smile.
- Gum Contouring
If you have too much gum showing when you smile, Dr. Blasco will contour the gum tissue to give you a more aesthetic appearance. A little gum contouring makes a large improvement in many people. In cosmetic smile makeovers, this is often the icing on the cake to making the smile look just right. To get the best results with a quicker recovery time, Dr. Blasco will use a Sirona laser to contour your gum tissue.

- Inlays/Onlays
Inlays or onlays are needed when a portion of the tooth is removed when removing decay. Once it is removed, it is replaced with lifelike porcelain crafted to blend in with the rest of the tooth giving it a natural appearance. The porcelain outline used is called an inlay or onlay. Porcelain inlays and onlays are an excellent solution to cavity pain, reduced chewing strength, and general degeneration of the back teeth. Virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth, these restore teeth to an optimal state of health. Inlays gently fill holes left by decay, while onlays are applied to the entire surface of the tooth for added reinforcement. To find out if inlays or onlays are right for you, please contact us today.
- T.M.J.
(T.M.D. – Temporomandibular Joint Disease)
TMJ is short for Temporomandibular Joint. Many people suffer from headaches, popping jaw when they open and close and pain in their jaw joints and muscles. Dr. Blasco offers special treatment for patients who suffer from TMJ. Based on the severity of your case, he will recommend a course of treatment right for you to get you out of pain and make your day-to-day activities more pleasant.
Gum Therapy
- Perio Therapy
Unfortunately, periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just an unsightly smile - it can cause loss of teeth and eventually, if left untreated, serious health problems. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth's soft tissues. Early warning signs of the disease include red, swollen, bleeding gums. If caught early, we can help you reverse the damage. If detected late, we can use one of many effective cosmetic dentistry procedures to restore your mouth to a healthy, beautiful state. For more information, please contact our office today.
- Laser Perio
Periodontal disease is the number one reason for tooth loss after the age of 30. As periodontal disease advances, tiny pockets form around your teeth, providing a haven for tartar, bacteria and other infectious particles. If the pockets grow too large to be effectively controlled through brushing and flossing, the only option for treatment involves a dental procedure. Dr. Blasco’s commitment to your comfort means that he actively seeks new, proven treatment methods to improve your health. Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy is one such treatment.
Using a laser, Dr. Blasco is able to selectively remove diseased or infected gum tissue, without harming the surrounding healthy tissue. The laser also kills the problem-causing bacteria, while stimulating circulation and reformation of the supportive structures of your teeth. Laser perio therapy is generally minimally invasive, less painful and quick to heal.
- Nightguard
A nightguard is custom crafted to fit just your teeth to eliminate headaches; relieve stress on your teeth at night so that they don’t break, chip or crack; and make your jaw joints feel better the next day. Also, if you have just had your smile made over with new porcelain veneers, crowns or bridges, Dr. Blasco will likely have you wear a nightguard to protect your new smile.

- Digital Radiographs (X-Rays)
Your comfort and safety are Dr. Blasco’s primary concerns. Digital radiographs are a technological advancement that both reduces patient exposure to radiograph energy and delivers a clearer picture to your dentist. Old radiograph technology involved a more traditional film development, making you and your doctor wait to see the results. With digital radiographs, the picture is available almost instantaneously, giving you a shorter, more comfortable visit.
